Third Party Funding

We invest in legal risks, by offering our customers the financial resources necessary to pursue a dispute in litigation or arbitration. 

Our investment enables you to hire a reputable law firm representing you in the dispute. If the claim is successful, we receive a share of the award or settlement. If the case is lost, you are not obliged to repay us anything. For this reason, we perform a comprehensive risk assessment prior to making a investment decision, ensuring that only strong claims receive backing.

Our main market is the Nordic countries, but we can also assist Nordic companies in financing disputes abroad.

We provide the funding, but you do not assign the claim to us. This means that you remain as party to the dispute, and also that you retain control over the proceedings, including decisions on whether or not the case should be settled. This is the reason why the type of financing we provide is commonly referred to as Third Party Funding.

Litigium Capital is a member of the European Litigation Funder's Association (ELFA) and as such committed to comply with its Code of Conduct. Litigium Capital's clients may at any time address any deviation from the Code of Conduct directly to the attention of ELFA.

We are registered by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) to operate as a manager of Alternative Investment Funds pursuant to the Swedish Act 2013:561 of Management of Alternative Investment Funds. As such, we are subject to reporting and compliance requirements.
